SAMPLE FORMS

Resident participation is vital in offering residents a way to build working relationships with the housing authority and create a positive living environment in Public Housing. One form resident participation can take is the resident council. The resident council can play a part in improving the quality of life for Public Housing communities and bring a wide variety of issues to the attention of PHA.

Several of your fellow residents have expressed interest in re-establishing the Mills Park Tower Resident Council.  In response to this interest a meeting has been scheduled to create a resident working group, to discuss the overall process, including the establishment of Resident Council bylaws, and to identify next steps. OPRC Vice President, Beth Swaggerty will help facilitate the meeting in providing information and guidelines about the process and OPHA Commissioner, Kate Walz will share her expertise and knowledge regarding the importance and value of resident engagement.

We encourage you to attend this important meeting.  Your input, ideas, and participation are greatly valued and appreciated.
