The Oak Park Housing Authority (OPHA)
and its affiliate, the Oak
Park Residence Corporation, own and operate 3 apartment
buildings that serve low-income, elderly and disabled individuals.
Income qualified residents pay a portion of
the full rental cost (based on 30% of the tenant’s
adjusted income) and Federal rent subsidies cover the balance
of the rent. Each building maintains a separate waiting
list.

Mills Park Tower |
| This is a 19-story building located at
1025 Pleasant Place, in beautiful Mills Park, approximately
3 blocks south of downtown Oak Park and the Metra train
station. Mills Park Tower provides 198 one-bedroom apartments
for elderly residents who are maintaining their own
personal and financial needs. The newly remodeled ground
floor contains laundry facilities, a community room
a large screen TV, and a library. A home health care agency staffs a Caring Center on the premises with doctors and nurses available to the residents. |

The Oaks |
| The Oaks, located at 114 South Humphrey,
is a beautifully rehabilitated, 6-story building with
an interior, landscaped atrium that serves elderly and
disabled individuals capable of maintaining their own
personal and financial needs. This award-winning building
offers 75 studio and one-bedroom apartments, with kitchens
and private bathrooms. Amenities include an on-site home
health care agency and a computer learning center that provides
free computer and internet access. |

Ryan Farrelly Apartments |
| The Ryan Farrelly Apartments is a newly
constructed, three-story building at 435 South Humphrey
designed to meet the housing needs of the severely mobility
impaired, who are maintaining their own personal and
financial matters. This 21-unit building offers studio,
one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, plus a resident
manager’s apartment. Each unit is equipped with
modern safety systems and is designed to accommodate
the wheelchair-bound. A community room with TV also
improves the quality of life for the residents. Off-street
parking is available. |
